Question: I have a rash on 1 forearm and backside of both legs. I can usually get rid of it in a week or so but this time it's not going away. It'd red and sometimes itchy. I use cortisone and it helps but it's not going away. Its going on over 2 months. Is there anything you can recommend that I can do to heal it?

Brief Answer:
Might be contact dermatitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to HCM,
I have gone through your query.

It is difficult to comment on any rash without examination, kindly upload the pictures for better assessment and to provide you with more specific advice.

Presently I would suggest you to use mild soap like dermadew and avoid scratching as it increases the risk of secondary infection. You can take over the counter oral antihistamine medication. Instead of applying cortisone, I would recommend using lactocalamine with alovera cream regularly. As it is mostly occurring on exposed part of the body of might be contact dermatitis.

This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.

I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you.
Take care.
