What Causes A Rash On The Glans Penis?

Question: I have had this slight rash on the tip of my penis for about 3-4 days. It doesn't itch (unless I mess with it a bunch, and even still it barely itches) there's a few bumps there, but after a shower or leaving it alone for hours, it is barely red. I'm just concerned...what could it be? Does it appear to be herpes?

I treat such cases with a combination of oral and topical anti viral medication.
A combination of oral acyclovir 800 mg 5 times a day and ointment acyclovir to be applied thrice daily for a week works well.
