What Causes A Rash On The Upper Chest?

Question: I have a rash looking patch on my upper chest right side. There are small pimple looking things and itchy. I've put ketoconazole, hydrocortisone and clindamycin lotion, none helped. I'm thinking about using desonide. Please help.

I have no way to upload photo, plus I don't know how. I have a cell phone that can take pictures, but I don't know what to do after that.
the area is about the size of my palm, red slightly raised up, not scaly but the red area is raised up.

According to your complaints it seems to be seborrhoic dermatitis or eczematous dermatitis.
You can use desonide cream on the affected areas twice daily.
Also take antihistaminic like tablet Cetrizine 10 mg once daily at bedtime.

I don't think it should spread further.

Mine started with just a small area about the size of a quarter. I put Hydrocortisone and Benadryl cream on it for about 2 weeks. Then it became large rather fast. It's not scaly or blistery, just red and itchy.

Apply desonide lotion on the affected areas twice daily and take antihistaminic like tablet Cetrizine 10 mg once or twice daily depending on the intensity of itching for 7-10 days.
It should improve the rash.
