What Causes A Recurring Whitish Film On The Head Of Penis?

Question: A whitish film appears on the head of my penis every couple days, despite cleanliness on a regular basis. There is no itching associated with the appearance of this almost cream-like substance. Is it yeast related?
Brief Answer:
Seems to be candidal infection
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
According to your complaints it seems to be candidal infection of the glans. It is a yeast infection commonly seen in uncircumcised males.
It is often associated with diabetes and also seen in persons on long term antibiotics.
In such cases I recommend my patients to maintain personal hygiene and apply antifungal cream like Clotrimazole cream on the affected areas twice daily for 2 weeks.
I hope to have answered your query and would be happy to clarify any further doubts.

Thank You very much Dr. Asmeet XXXXXXX Sawhney for giving me the assurance of what I suspected and a recommendation for an antifungal cream I can apply to treat this. Much appreciated.
I have had diabetes for about six years now and this may be a complication of that.
Thank You again.
