Brief Answer:
Possible fungal infection, but upload a photo if possible to confirm

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using HCM to post your question.

I read it carefully and I understand your concern.

The inner thigh it is a place where common fungal infections develop, due to sweating, humidity (especially if you are overweight). It should be itchy, which it is a sign that may confirm fungal infection. If there is pain and/or, then we may think of folicullitis or an abscess.

Would you be ok if you upload a photo of that area? It will help me be extra sure of the diagnoses.

If not, then try to use clotrimazole 2% cream, twice/day. You should see results of getting better within the first week but may need to use the cream for 2-3 weeks.

Hope this is helpful. Looking forward to a photo to have a look on it.

Regards,

Brief Answer:
Transmitted only under long contact and under humidity factors

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

There is a place to upload photos, just explore the page, because it will help me a lot to give you a more specific answer. You can find it at the reports section on the top. Alternatively You can also e-mail them to YYYY@YYYY and keep the Subject as ATTN:Dr Klarida Papaqako and I'll receive them.

You can use the cream recommended above because that will most probably help you.

If it is what I think, then the condition can be transmitted by physical contact, but only if the contact is long, and if it is under some factors like sweating or humidity (eg. if it was in your feet, then sharing foot-wares would have the transmitted infection). If you mean sexual relationship, then I would say it is not transmitted like that.

Feel free to write back if you need more clarifications.

Regards,
Dr. Papaqako
