What Causes A Reddish Rash On The Shaft Of Penis?

Question: Hi, its an embarrassing one, but theres a rash on my shaft and its getting worse and is forming on the head. Theres one that is on the bottom part of the tip thats red and slightly swollen and then another one that spills over from the shaft onto the head. What the hell is it, I'm freaking out a little bit?
Brief Answer:
Upload pictures, answer few questions
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
It can be either candidiasis or dermatitis.
Is the rash associated with itching or burning?
Are you diabetic or taken any long term antibiotics ?
Are you sexually active? If yes is your partner complaining of vaginal discharge?
Have you used or applied anything new on the penile skin?
I would recommend you upload the photographs of the affected areas so that I can have clearer picture of the condition and can guide you accordingly.

It doesn't really itch or burn. I haven't been sexually active since january so I don't think that would be an issue however about a year and a half ago I was treated for chlamydia I don't know if that could be a problem. Last night I put on Neosporin. It seems to have cleared up a little bit. I don't feel comfortable with posting picture over the internet I'm sorry but I hope that gives you an idea of it
Brief Answer:
Seems to be candidal balanoposthitis
Detailed Answer:
According to your complaints it seems to be candidal balanoposthitis.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to apply clotrimazole cream on the affected areas twice daily for 2 weeks.
If it doesn't show improvement I would recommend you to consult a doctor and get yourself examined.
