Hello,
How can I help? I see you had a test that came back negative. Was that for HIV or for the BV and chlamydia to make sure it was gone?
And what symptoms are you having that make you think you have thrush?

Ok - now I see.
Well, getting chlamydia from unprotected sex is a lot more common than getting HIV.
The HIV antibody test will detect 95% of HIV infections at 4 weeks. So that is pretty accurate. You can retest at 12 weeks (detects 99% of infections at that point) but I think detecting 95% of infections is pretty good. So that should give your mind some relief.
A whitish tongue is more likely from other things than thrush, such as post nasal drainage which you may not be able to feel. White spots can be innocuous too. If your mouth is sore, then go in to an urgent care and have it looked at, or see your doctor. Even if it is thrush, it doesn't mean you have HIV. If you were suffering from HIV to the point that you now have thrush, I would expect that you would have enough antibodies circulating that your HIV antibody test would have been positive.
I can see why you might be worried - and you are not alone - many people write in here with the same concerns. But with a negative HIV test at 4 weeks, the chances you have HIV are very unlikely.
I hope this helps.

About anxiety
Detailed Answer:
If you have had anxiety in general, even prior to this recent situation, you might benefit from antiaxiety medications For ongoing anxiety, an antidepressant medication such as the SSRI Lexapro (escitalopram) might help. If you think this is short term anxiety, a benzodiazepine such as lorazepam might help (and may also be used during the first couple weeks of taking the SSRI until it kicks in.
But I don't think you have to worry about HIV if you don't continue to have unprotected sex.
If your mouth starts to look worse, do go in and have it checked, as adults can get thrush at times (without HIV) and there is treatment for it. But a dry mouth with a coated tongue can be from anxiety too.
