What Causes A White Bump In The Throat After Root Canal Treatment?
Question: I had a root canal done end of August, and I keep getting a white bump in one are of my throat. I also have acid reflux. I also have buying on the same side the work was done on my inside of my cheek and throat. The dentist didn't use a dental dam, so I thought it was just irritation. I am a smoker, so I'm scared it's cancer. My ent said it's acid reflux, because he put a camera down my throat. but my dentist said go to an oral surgeon for a biopsy and now I'm scared it's cancer. What does it look like to you? I never had this before my dental work thay dentist said its just a blocked saliva gland
Brief Answer:
Hello dear. There seems nothing abnormal
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear.
I have gone through the details.
The picture sent seems completely normal and i dont see any abnormal lump or ulcer. You can put an arrow on the lump if you think there it is and again upload the image. If the ent surgeon also doesnot think if there is anything abnormal, then no need to go for any blind biopsy.
Thanks and regards

Hello. There is nothing abnormal.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have seen the images. I dont find anything abnormal except a smal mucous cyst (green arrow) that will resolve on its own. No need to go for a biopsy.
