If i am unable to get to mt ob gyn is it okay to go to a urgent care? ..and also how could i have gotten a boil?
Brief Answer:
Yes, you can go to urgent care
Detailed Answer:
Hi, Thanks for writing back,
Yes, you can go to an urgent care, if you are unable to get in touch with your OBGYN. You can get the antibiotics prescribed.
Boils are just folliculitis, where the hair follicle gets infected by bacteria thereby causing inflammation and collection of pus, which is seen as yellow colored specks over the area. Treatment with proper antibiotics will provide cure. Also proper hygiene is recommended.
You can also do Sitz bath, with warm saline water in a basin, which will act as a disinfectant and also will provide symptomatic relief.
Hope this helps
