Brief Answer:
Too soon to be IBS.....Probably related to the procedure!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these digestive symptoms that you have reported. I have reviewed the information fully and this is more suggestive of a possible complications related to the procedure, especially the TOE. The timeline makes IBS very unlikely at this time.

I will recommend the following.

1. Good balanced diet. Avoid getting to bed soon after meals or leaning forward. Also, alcohol, chocolates, fast foods, tobacco and coffee should be avoided. More preference for fruits, vegetables and fibers containing food. Drink much water, daily!

2. Take protonix 20mg daily to relief the reflux pains. This is certainly secondary to the camera getting into the stomach and out, probably opening up in a way the closure.

3. Moderate daily exercise, 20-30mins daily and a positive mind set.

I believe these measures will provide much relief. Let me know how you are fairing with these measures within a week.

I wish you well. I am available for more information and clarifications if need be.
