What Causes Abdominal Pain Along With Stomach Upset?
Question: Hello , I been having for a week now abdominal pain on my left back side going to the front and vice versa, sometimes more painful than others, also going from one side to the other right side, also with stomach upset after eating, it goes sometimes away when I lay down, but I have this almost constant pain on my left back side middle lower abdominal area kidney area, don't know what can it be? sometimes is very severe and then goes away, also I have allot of gas. thank you

To recapitulate: Female / 47 years - one week - abdominal pain - left back side - and vise versa - also from one to other right side - stomach upset after eating - almost constant in left kidney are - off and on - laying helps - gas - results of blood and urine awaited.
The most probable reason as per the history you have provided can be left Kidney problem, the gases and other problems appearing as a reflex of this.
The single most investigations of Ultrasonography can give more information, which should be done ASAP.
Another possible reason can be related to the gastric but then there would have been symptoms associated with acidity like burning in upper abdomen, nausea and vomiting.
Problems of the pancreas cause very much severe pain and needs admission; will be picked up by the ultrasonography.
Colon problem would have given altered bowel movements like constipation or sticky or loose stools.
The other reasons are given as differential diagnosis in case ultrasonography is negative for a kidney disease.

Thank you for your replay, my bowels movement are regular and very good, I am vegetarian if this information helps, it is true that I am having sour stomach or acid reflux going on right now , but its stop when I took an anti acid but I don't have nauseas or vomiting going on , and like right now everything went away.
