What Causes Abdominal Pain And Burning Sensation During Urination?

Question: I have pain in my abdomen. It burns when I urinate. Most of the pain is in my lower left ab but lately its been in my upper abdomen.

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Your symptoms are very characteristic for urinary tract infection or stones. Lower abdomen is where the bladder is. A little bit above it on the left and right side ureter is located.
As you have lower left abdominal pain, ureter or kidney may be affected as well. You may have also some back pain with this issue. Fever can be present.

I suggest you to consult your doctor, have urine analysis and urine culture test done. Antibiotic seems necessary. You should also increase mineral water intake and start cranberries intake.

For the pain management, hot bath should be helpful.

If the problem will come back, you should consult urologist.
