What Causes Abdominal Pain And Leg Numbness After A Hysterectomy?
Question: Hi. I had a hysterectomy may 9 /16 couple months ago I start having pain on my abdomen on left side and left leg also numbness between my legs . I went to urgent care emergency room family doctor and finally the doctor that did the hysterectomy, on the emergency room they did a cat-scan and didn't show anything. The urgent care said that I had a diverticulitis ataque my family doctor said no because diverticulitis doesn't cause numbness . Doctors what this can be ? Bother to much and I'm afraid. Thank you
Brief Answer:
Can be a nerve root compression.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The numbness and pain that you have is likely to be due to a nerve root related cause. It can be due to a disc prolapse or a methylcobalamin deficiency. MRI scan is needed to find out any soft tissue abnormalities and any disc related issues. Do get your Vitamin B 12 levels evaluated and consult a neurologist for proper diagnosis.
