What Causes Abdominal Pain, Sore Joints, Dizziness And Foggy Brain After Gallbladder Surgery?

Question: My 13 year old daughter had her gallbladder taken out 8 weeks ago. It was functioning at 14% and had scar tissue in it. She still has abdominal pain, sore joints, tingling, swelling and numbness in her hands and feet. She feels a stabbing pain by her left hip. She has back pain, fatigue, dizziness, foggy brain where she zones out at times, headaches, constipation. Several times she had blood in her stool. She has gastritis and espohogitis. She had little sores on her tongue. Her blood work, CT, EKG and chest X-ray were normal. We thought the gallbladder was her problem but now wondering if it was just a symptom of something bigger going on

Brief Answer:
Needs work up for other entities. autoimmune profile.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking

I read your question and i understand your concern. Abdominal pain, sore joint, paresthesias, dizziness, foggy brain, headaches, constipation, sore tongues and aphthous ulcers, blood in stools is a multiorgan involving systemic illness likely and should be worked up for other lines of autoimmune disorders like lupus etc. Gallbladder might be a separate entity or a continuation of the systemic disorder underneath.

Nutshell, it needs thorough work up for autoimmune profile and sort out accordingly . Talk to a rheumatologist and let them decide what is best for your daughter.

I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and don't forget to close the discussion please.
