What Causes Abnormal Nipple Discharge?

Question: I just started having breast nipple discharge from one breast only. no other symtoms noted... maybe a little tenderness. I don't notice any blood with it and the fluid is clear. I am 66 years of age.

Hello dear. I have gone through the details. So any discharge from nipple in your age require evaluation. Discharge should be collected and sent for malignant cytology. Moreover, an. Mri of the breast is required to look for any underlying mass lesion.

Thank you for your answer and I will get evaluated. It has been several years since my last mammogram as I didn't have any insurance. All of my previous mammograms were clear. No hx of breast ca in any of the women in my family. I had a melanoma (in Sept of 1984) but have never had any recurrence. It was a Clarks class #2 CA in situ with superficial spreading. The area was excised by MOH's surgery. Never had any other issues. Again, thank you for your reply.
