Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Your symptoms could be related to a lung disorder or inflammation.

Chronic anemia could also lead to this symptomatology.

From the other hand it is true that straining physical activity can cause shortness of breath, especially in people who are not very active.

If the problem persists, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician and performing some tests:

- a resting ECG and a cardiac ultrasound to examine your heart function and structure
- a chest X ray study and respiratory function tests
- some blood lab tests (complete blood count for anemia, PCR, sedimentation rate for inflammation, blood electrolytes, kidney and liver function tests).

You should discuss with your doctor on the above tests.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
