What Causes Abnormally Heavy Inter-menstrual Bleeding While On Oral Contraceptives?

Question: hi i am starting to get concerned today because I filled up a regular tampon in literally a minute. I have been having light bleeding for the past week and it is in the middle of my cycle. i am on the pill and have skipped two months of the placebos so i didnt get a period. now i am wondering if that has screwed up my cycle. and now i had a super tampon and just went to pull it out. it wasnt quite full but when i pulled it out it hurt really really bad on the left lower abdomen like by my uterus
Brief Answer:
Normal
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I understand your concerns about bleeding.
It is normal to have such bleeding once in a while.
This has nothing to do with skipped placebos. This is the Endometrial tissue which had not she'd during periods initial days.
This is absolutely normal and nothing to worry about.
Let me know if you need anymore help.
Regards

what about the fast bleeding right when i put the tampon in and the pain when i pulled the next tampon out? also is it safe to skip placebos?
Brief Answer:
You can skip placebos
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The fast bleeding was the blood collected behind tampon after absorption. It is the same collected blood that has gushed out. That is normal.
It is safe to skip placebos if you wish. There is no harm.
