Brief Answer:
Not having periods is normal.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The absence of periods after a delivery can stretch for 1-2 years or till she is breast feeding. It increases the levels or hormone prolactin which causes a delay in the periods. This is a normal finding and is not worrisome. Her periods will gradually resume after she stops breast feeding her baby.
The white discharge and irritation that she is having can be due to an yeast infection and this can be ruled out only be performing a detailed examination.
This typically presents with the symptoms that you have described. This can be treated with Fluconazole and azithromycin which are considered as considerably effective drugs. She can consult her gynaecologist for selecting the best drug for her after proper examination. Avoid intercourse till the infection is treated.
It is also important to keep the private parts scrupulously clean. Trimming the pubic hair, not using any soap to wash the vagina and keeping the area clean and dry will help.
Please feel free to discuss further. I will be glad to answer the follow up queries that you have.
Wishing you good health.
