What Causes Acidity After Having Tea And Burping ?

Answer given below
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.
You are having gastroesophageal reflux disease and probably an ulcer disease.
An upper GI endoscopy may be done for evaluation of your symptoms.
You can take medications like Nexpro-L once a day before breakfast for 4 weeks for relief. Lifestyle/dietary changes are also important for complete relief of symptoms.
These include -
1. Weight reduction if obese
2. Avoiding smoking and drinking alcohol if you have those habits
3. Avoiding coffee, citrus, chocolates, tomatoes, fatty food, spicy/masala food.
4.Avoid eating larger meals and trying to eat smaller frequent meals
5. Avoid going to bed immediately after food. Go to bed at least 2-3 hours after food.
6. Sleeping with head elevated position.
I hope that answers your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr.R.K
