Question: hi sir i am effected with filrial epididymitis is it dangerous disease??

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have swelling of epididymis which has been proved on FNC to be due to Filarial infection of Epididymis .

Filarial infection is very common in coastal areas of AP and XXXXXXX and can be treated with combination of Diethylcarbamazine and Albendazole along with antibiotic and anti inflammatory medicines .

It is not a dangerous disease .

Can u please clarify actually I had small solid type beside right testies this is due to filliraia epidimies present am using antibiotics now swelling of testies was cured that solid also cured or not?

Dear sir
Actually am effected fillaria for right testies now it's was cured by using antibiotics. But problem is that with same symptoms my left testies is getting swelling from last one day is there is any chance to effect left testies as I used 5 days of antibiotics please clarify sir

Thanks for follow up .The possibility of left testicle getting infected can not be ruled out .It has to be confirmed by doing Ultrasound Scanning .

Continue taking Antibiotic and anti inflammatory medication for one more week .
