What Causes Adult Body Odor In A 7 Year Old Child?

Question: My 7 year old grand daughter has started having adult body odor. What could cause this?

She's probably entering into adolescence

Detailed Answer:
Hi....I have gone through the entire history in detail. I do not think anything which you have mentioned of the past history is related to your grandchild' s present condition.

Nowadays kids due to improved and sophisticated food (fertilizer based) are attaining puberty early even at 8 years of age. This could be one of the reasons.

But as your concerns are true, attaining this at less than 8 years has to be medically investigated....especially if she's developing other signs of puberty like breast bud development and axillary and pubic hair. If these are also present I suggest you take a consultation of a pediatric endocrinologist.
