Question: Doctor, I have a very high metabolic rate. I feel hungry even after having pleanty amount of meal immediately after that. I have take 'worm killer' course 3 during my entire life span now (29 years), once when I was 5, then at 17 and then at 27. There is no worm which is coming out from the fecal. I am confused as what to do? I break meals and take it after every 2 hours still I feel a lot hunger all the time and try to consume after 10-15 min and feel satiated only for sometime..and it goes on. Do you suspect any worm activity in my belly. Please let me know.

Brief Answer:
get evaluated for endocrine dysfunction

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

I have read your query. There is a possibility of endocrine dysfunction in you.

It could be either Diabetes or a thyroid dysfunction.

I would suggest you to get baseline investigations like FBS, PPBS, and Thyroid function tests to rule out the possibilities.

I would be interested to know your weight, height, waist circumference and BMI, if possible.

Also, how is your physical activity? Is there a family history of chronic diseases like Diabetes? How are your other siblings health wise?

Let me know.

Regards,
