What Causes An Itchy Rash In The Groin After Treating Tinea Cruris?

Question: I have had a rash on my groin area for the past two years. Ive been seen for it once and diagnosed with jock itch but it isnt getting better. Ive tried every otc, at home remedy there is without success. The area is extremely itchy, flat not raised. Ive been in a monogomous relationship for 11 years so no concerns of STD. Wondering what else it could be (male yeast infection maybe?) or what treatment may work once and for all?

Brief Answer:
Seems to be ringworm infection, start oral antifungal drugs
Detailed Answer:
I have reviewed the attached photograph and it seems to be ringworm infection which is a fungal infection. You have used many antifungal drugs as well as steroids on this rash.
Unresponsivness may be either due to resistance of the fungi or due to use of steroids.
Since it is not getting resolved by topical medicines I would recommend you to go for oral antifungals.
If I were your treating doctor I would recommend you to take tablet TERBINAFINE 250 mg once daily and apply TERBINAFINE cream on the affected areas twice daily.
For itching I would recommend you to take tablet CETRIZINE 10 mg once or twice daily depending on the intensity of itching.
These medicines are prescription drugs and you need to see the doctor in person to get them.
Besides this keep the area dry, wear cotton underwear, stay in cool airy environment and avoid sharing of soaps and towel.
