What Causes An Itchy Rash On The Penis?
Question: I am a 32 year old male. Just few days back my penis head is seems to have a small, rounded arisal.First day some itching was there there after just this arisal only.I applied clotrimazole for three days, but no change. I haven't any sexual contact. Living in very hygienic habits. But just before this I suspect my bathing water was contaminated. I am having foreskin, fully retractable.my penile head is very sensitive.About ten years back I had a history of balanoposthis which lasted 4-5 days and then cured by itself.
Kindly help me ..
I have updated the image of the penis condition. Please check and advice. The said scar is seeing from 5 days.

Brief Answer:
Lichen planus
Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us
I am dr.kakkar (dermatologist). I have gone through your query and I have viewed the image.
You seem to have lichen planus. Lichen planus is an itchy eczematous condition of skin and mucous membranes. It is not an STD.
I suggest you to apply a moderately potent topical steroid e.g mometasone furoate 0.1% cream, twice daily.

T-Bact cream or Bactroban ointment are both 2% mupirocin. I wont suggest ring guard.
