What Causes Anal Bleeding Along With Pain?
Question: I had a baby three months ago and wvery since delivery i habe had hemmeroids and it hurts really bad when i have a bowel movement, i looked it up and saw it could be anal fissures?! There is beight eed blood when i wipe. What can i do. Its been gpimg on gar to lomg and isnt getting better . Please help its painful!!!!

I can understand your concern .
I would like to inform you that there are many causes of pain and fresh bleeding from anus .
This may be external hemorrhoids that mainly presents with pain and fresh bleeding . Bleeding usually comes as streak mark on sides of formed stool or drops of blood at end of defecation that is visible on tissues .
Another possibility is of anal fissure or fistula , both of these present with pain during defecation and some time bleeding also. Some foul smelling discharge may also come.
The initial management in all this is, to avoid constipation as all these can be aggravated by constipation . For that you need to eat fruits and vegetables rich diet. Drink plenty of water and milk etc. Smooth bowel movement will help you most. You can take laxative syrups also if dietary modifications are not helping in constipation .
If you have pain you can take pain killers as well on sos basis.
I would like to inform you that exact diagnosis can only be made by an experienced doctor . We need to examine the anal opening and anal canal for that.
Some times it can be caused of few local infection , in that dietary modifications and antibiotics are sufficient . But some times its surgery only that is treatment of choice depending upon the diagnosis .
In my opinion you follow above mentioned dietary modifications , keep your bowel movement smooth and consult to your doctor for local examination and exact diagnosis and further management .
