Brief Answer:
Allergic reaaction to Polyethylene glycol electrolyte solution.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking query on HCM.

Polyethylene glycol electrolyte solution is a laxative solution that increases the amount of water in the intestinal tract to stimulate bowel movements. However in some cases person is allergic to it.This allergy can present as itching, pain and burning sensation in anal area.If pain is unbearable ask your gastroenterologist to give parentral(injectible) Diclofenac sodium,Avil(Antiallergic) and Hydrocortisone. This will provide you with symptomatic relief. As you should be strictly on liquid diet ,Don't take any oral medicine by yourself.
The only way out is either to get injections and bear mild discomfort which remains after that or to postpone the procedure.I would sueggest you to go with injectible therapy.

Thank you
