Brief Answer:
It's a common finding after 40 years of age

Detailed Answer:
Hello Ma'am

Am Dr Bhanu Partap and I am a Cardiology practitioner.

Just like so many other arteries in the body aorta is also a big artery that originated directly from the left ventricle and carries the oxygenated blood pumped by the heart to the rest of the body.

Now as the age advances degenerative changes occur through out our body. Among these changes atherosclerosis is one of the common changes that happens in the blood vessels due to various factors like hypertension, unhealthy food habits causing high cholesterol levels in the body, diabetes and other genetic factors.

Atherosclerosis basically leads to narrowing of the vessels diameter. As the diameter of aorta is big so usually it won't Create any issues but you need to take precautions like start following healthy lifestyle habits as it will slow down the disease process.

And most importantly smoking should be stopped completely if it's there as it promotes atherosclerosis at a very high rate.

I hope this information will answer your query. If you have any other doubts you can ask me back or else you can close the discussion and kindly rate the answer.

Kind Regards
