What Causes Auditory Hallucinations After Taking Cortex Cough Syrup?

Question: I was Addicted to cortex cough syrup and alcohol last 10 years now suffering from auditory hallucination
Can you prescribe any alternative medicines for that

Before guiding you further, I would like to know if you

1. Experience any hand tremors

2.Have you developed any diabetes?

3.What is the content of the Auditory hallucinations?

Possible Alcoholic Hallucinosis

Hello Sir

You possibly seem to experience Alcoholic hallucinations.

At this point, it's important to completely curtail alcohol.

This should be done to prevent further complications like brain damage.

At this point I generally recommend a short course of oral medications of Risperidone and Chlordiazepoxide to my patients with such symptoms.

Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe these pills to you
