Detailed Answer:
Hello Ms XXXXXXX
Thank you for writing back to me with details.
Since you have had multiple surgeries on the right kidney and there is an indwelling stent, it predisposes you to recurrent kidney infections, and if there is infection in one kidney, that can spread to the other kidney as well.
Blood in stools is a separate issue and the cause for the needs to be identified by physical examination and if required a colonoscopy.
I am positive that your major problem right now is due to kidney infection, however, please get a urine culture and sensitivity test done to find out the exact causative bacteria and get a course of antibiotics that are appropriate.
You might need to take the medicines for longer than usual, please discuss the same with the urologist.
Please do not ignore this, the infection can destroy the functioning part of your kidneys. Please do consult a urologist as soon as possible.
Wishing you speedy recovery.
Warm regards.
