Question: I am suffering from severe back pain and neck pain...I hav to turn around my neck frequently due to pain. what should I do?

Brief Answer: You have to follow a healthy lifestyle. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for your query. There are numerous causes and conditions that produce neck pain as well as back pain. Most common cause considering your age is mechanical( Postural) in nature. Though self limiting, it need not be underestimated. You have to follow a healthy lifestyle. All you need to do is correct your posture habits, like appropriate neck position while working on computer, avoiding pillow while sleeping, or while making sudden movements. I assure you this discomfort will go away unless you do something to aggravate it in your routine. You have do neck isometric exercises and back exercises, which you can learn from a physiotherapist near you. Rest is the trick here, and specific aforesaid exercises are your only long term insurance. You may benefit from hot fomentation and frequent stretch breaks at work. You can take anti-inflammatory drug like motrin to reduce pain . If it still fails to subside have it examined and investigated by your Orthopaedician soon.
