What Causes Back Pain With Stenosis And Tingling In Toes?
Question: Hi Doc, I have been experiencing tingling in one or two toes and has moved to underneath toesin the pad, I have nerve damage from spinal stenosis in back on L3 and L4 from injury and sciatica, I have been worried it might be prediabetes instead of nerve damaged from back. What is your expert thought on this?
Brief Answer:
Possibility of nerve root compression
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
History of back pain with stenosis and tingling in toes may be manifestation of nerve compression. Which toes are affected?
In diabetes usually symptoms are symmetrical and involves both lower limb with initial symptoms in big toe and then foot.
You should get checked for diabetes also.

Thank you so much for your time and consideration. My big toe has not been an issue, 2nd and 3rd one has. It has stayed in feet, but sometimes I get a hot firing feeling that last just seconds, I'm sure hoping it's from back injury, lol diabetes would scare me, but, I am going to have blood work done to make sure, You were helpful. Thanks
