What Causes Bad Vaginal Odor?

default
Posted on Tue, 27 Dec 2016
Question: I have a irony like smell coming from "down there." It is very faint and no one else notices it but me, but I don't know what it is. It reminds me of the scent I would have during my period, but I'm not on my period. It is not accompanied by any burning, itching, or irritation.

Brief Answer:
Change in the vaginal flora

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Smell in the vaginal area can be due to slight changes in the vaginal flora.
This do not cause excessive discharge, itching or burning.
However, you may need lactic acid treatment.
I will suggest you to consult an OBGYN specialist to get properly examined internally and get appropriate treatment timely.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
