What Causes Bilateral Numbness In Feet?
physical examination and investigations are required
Detailed Answer:
Hello Doctor,
Thanks for writing to us.
I read your query and understood your concern. To rule out physical cause of your bilateral numbness in the feet following examinations and investigations are required.
- Proper physical examination by an orthopedic doctor to check for limb and spine abnormality.
- Serum Vitamin B12, Vitamin D, Calcium level
- EMG NCV (electromyography - nerve conduction study) report for lower limbs.
- MRI lumber-sacral spine
- All routine investigations.
You have undergone some of the investigations and they are normal. Please let me know which are remaining from above list and if feasible go for them soon.
- Let me know are there any other associated symptoms and up to which extent this problem affects your daily routine.
- It is good that you do not have diabetes and do not use alcohol. You seem to have hypertension. Since when is it there? And do you smoke? If yes, provide details about the same.
Hope I have answered your query, I will be happy to help further.
Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.
