What Causes Bile Backup During Morning After Taking Lipitor?

Question: Having trouble with bile backup the morning after taking Lipitor. Also very extreme pain in middle of chest similar to a gallbladder attack. Had gallbladder removed 1990. Trouble swallowing food and liquids seem to get stuck in esophagus.

I read your query and understood your concerns.

Your symptom seems to be related to atorvastatin side effects and interaction between atorvastatin and methocarbamol. The principal side effects of atorvastatin are:
-     Chest pain
-     Back pain
-     Upper stomach pain
-     Jaundice and gallbladder attack

However if you were my patient I would like to suggest to run the following examinations:
-     Abdominal ultrasound
-     Chest x ray
-     Upper endoscopy
If all these examinations will be normal, than your symptoms are related to atorvastatin side effects and interaction with methocarbamol.
