Brief Answer:
detailed below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query.
Having episodes of black stools indicate the presence of upper gastrointestinal bleeding ,which means bleeding in stomach or duodenum.Other possible causes for black stools are some iron supplements, taking pepto-bismol,black licorice .
You need to consult your doctor for this.A stool test is necessary to confirm or exclude the presence of blood in your stool. If the presence of blood in your stool is confirmed ,then other investigations like endoscopy are necessary to detect the cause of this bleeding.

Hope it helps.
Let me know if you have any question.

Kind regards,
Dr.Rovena Murati
