Sorry I was up ALL night and fell asleep in the middle of writting that first question.
I just woke up and now see the fine print here that the advice here can not be used for medico-legal purposes.
I will write out a little more of what happened anyways because I already paid for this and it is past 5pm.
On saturday I did not tell her about the bladder spasms I was having ... those are new to my condition ... it is not just my bladder ... as it gets worse more and more muscles start contracting involuntarily in my vagina region ... it is VERY painful. I have had a few episodes like this since september(?)/october(?)
I found the ONLY thing to make the spasms stop is to literally sit on ice-all day for a few days in a row. I basically numb my 'downstairs' region. I can not leave the house untill my symptoms completely subside. If they only partially subside and I get a new attack it will be MUCH worse. In october when this first started I was at home for 3 weeks because of this.
She asked me if I had seen a urologist and I blanked and said 'no' .... but I had called my urologist on Feb 1 2016, but now I live 3 hours away. The receptionist said I could not speak to him because I had not been in the office in over a year and that I needed to come into the office to be seen and speak to him. I called local urologists as well but my insurance is from New XXXXXXX and I am in NYC which made local doctors out of my network. But I did contact a few but never had a chance to see any of them.
On Saturday I did have WBC's on my UA but I could tell she was looking at me like I was crazy. She thought I had fibromyalgia, and a UTI. She diagnosed me with a UTI, wrote me a prescription for macrobid, and offered one for those AZO pills. I do not have a UTI though ... she did not listen to me at all. Similar incidents happened to me at least 20 times when I first started having symptoms of the IC a few years ago. I took antibiotic after antibiotic because every doctor was scared about my kidneys. BUT NO ONE EVER EVEN DID A CULTURE. I did not even fill the prescription because I do not have a UTI. Also I did not need the Azo pills because I was not having any pain then ... I can not leave the house until all the pain has gone away otherwise it can precipitate a new attack.
I do not have a GP but I do have a psychiatrist because I have had ADHD since I was 7. He is a 60 year old man and I did not feel comfortable talking to him about my symptoms either.
I needed the Doctor on Saturday to write me a note for work/why i did not spend the last week looking for work and she was looking at me like I had lost my mind. It just really caught me off guard to see her and then by leaving out details of the 'history' it seemed very questionable. I am scared she wrote in my chart that I am crazy or lying.
I will see a urologist ASAP but I wanted to have some sort of documentation right after the incident that explains what ACTUALLY happened/WHY it happened.
