What Causes Bleeding After Removal Of Nexplanon Implant?
Question: I bled 6 days after nexplanon removal. I dont know if that would be considered a period or not but my doctor also said that it takes 24 hours for it to be out of my system. I havent had a real period since removal and i have had pregnancy symptoms on and off. I also have taken multiple pregnancy tests which came back negative and i was wondering if this is normal and what i should do? I havent had a period for 2 months.
Brief Answer:
It may be a period
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear and thanks for your query.
As you have removed nexplanon six days ago, your body have not more the effect of nexplanon because your body is been cleared from it.
Now your body is under effect of only self-generated hormones, causing new and naturally regulated hormonal balances . For this reason can bleeding occur.
As my opinion you aren't pregnant because :
you have been on nexplanon
Pregnancy tests are negative
You have a period
Be calm and use much more fluids and iron rich foods.
All the best

I havent had a period in 2 months. I was bleeding before removal and it didn't stop until 6 days after i got nexplanon removed. While i was on the birth control i was bleeding constantly... Personally i dont think that i have had a period yet. I dont know if i should go to the doctor to see whats going on. My doctor said i should have had a period one month after getting it removed.
Brief Answer:
Is from new hormonal balances
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear again and thanks for trusting to us.
I understand your concern but while you have excluded pregnancy you should wait for breakthrough bleeding.
In my opinion this is caused, as I said above from the new hormonal balances while you have removed nexplanon about two months ago.
Hence wait and for this month for breakthrough bleeding, and if it doesn't occur contact with your doctor.
