Thank you for answering to my question. Uploading few more images.

Related to my last intercourse was about 2 months 7 days back. It was protected one. Last year I had four intercourses, all protected but different partners.

To add more information (which I feel a bit embarrassed), before the appearance of blisters I had continuously maturbated every day the previous week and had gone to bed with my underwear in which I had masturbated.

Also I had one question if I suffer from any of the above mentioned illness, can I lead a normal life like, what about my future married life? Will it be of any serious concern?

I had sleepless nights for past few days due to this.

Thanks Doctor. On consulting the doctor it was detected as Molluscum. It wa removed by laser treatment.

I have couple of questions, one related to the treatment and one related to the infection.

Will I feel an burning sensation once local anaesthesia effect is gone?

Since it looks like I could have caught the infection through last sexual contact, does this mean i might have some other sexually transmitted disease too, especially something like hiv. Just want to inform that all my previous sexual contacts (total 4)
have been through usage of condom?

I appreciate your answers, kindly request to answer the above questions too.

Thank you once again

Brief Answer:
HIV unlikely.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for follow up query.

There may be slight burning after anesthesia effect XXXXXXX of.

Molluscum can spread by skin to skin contact or as STDs.
So STDs are possible as multiple partners present.
Specially which can be transmitted by skin to skin contact.HIV is unlikely .
Condoms do protect in the area of contact .
You can go for STDs tests if any other symptoms or as a check up.

Thanks Doctor for answering my questions.

On looking at STI testing here in XXXXXXX following are the list of tests done for STI testing - Are these sufficient or should anything else be tested.

Complete blood count (CBC)
Blood group (ABO & Rh typing)
Haemoglobin studies
G6PD- quantitative
Sexually transmitted diseases
HIV ½
Hepatitis BsAg screening
HCV
VDRL (Syphilis) (RPR)
Gonorrhea (Neisseria Gonorrhea) detection by PCR
Chlamydia Trachomatis (IgG)

Also one more question, I would be getting married after 6 months. As I am infected with this molluscum contagiosum, should I postpone my plans?

Normally how long will the infection take to cure?

Brief Answer:
Can lead a normal life.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for follow up query.

The STDs test done is sufficient. It covers all important STDs.There is nothing to worry.

As lesion is removed by laser, it will heal in 1-2 week.

Once the lesion of Molluscum has healed, there is no possibility of transmission.
Recurrence possible only if exposed to infected individual .Otherwise there is no chance of recurrence.
You can lead a normal life if no lesions.
You can get back for any clarification.

Hi Doctor,

Thank you once again to answer all my queries.

The reason for so many queries is because of my anxiety.

Before I knew it was molluscum contagsium, during bathing I have touched my genitals for cleansing purpose and use the same soap throughout my body.

So I am worried can this cause the lesions to spread throughout my body? I do see some small dark black dots which looks like very minor growths on my face.

Also I would like to know how long will it take for molluscum virus to be removed from the body for a normal immunocompetent person if acquired?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Bharatesh Devendra Basti (47 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Washing with water will not spread molluscum.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for follow up query.

Scratching can spread the molluscum. Just washing with soap and water will not spread molluscum.
After laser it will heal by 1-2 weeks.
Usually you can watch for recurrence for up to 3-6 months. It is unlikely to recurr later.

Even if untreated it will subside on its own by 1-2 years.
Non recurrence implies virus is removed from body.
You can get back for any clarification.
Thank you
