What Causes Blister On The Vaginal Opening?
Question: I think myself and boyfriend may have the start of herpes. My boyfriend says he had a cold sore years ago, he had a cut on side of his mouth but we never thought anything of it and a few days ago he gave performed oral sex on me. I have felt really painful and irritated down below since then and this morning he has now woke up with spots around mouth which made me check myself below and I also have what looks like a blister on opening of vagina, but none anywhere else- just deep inside. I thought this was just a fissure as its been a while since we had sex but the spots on him are a coincidence and making me doubt it

Hi. I sent up photos of both my vagina were the blisters have formed and also my partners mouth area. Did you receive these ok?

In the of mouth, there are many lesions, have they occurred at same time or they were there before. Are those lesions painful.

There aren't spots on the vagina, it is more the cracks at the entrance, can you not see? They are brown/yellow and feel painful even just walking, could this be herpes or does it sound more like a fissure from intercourse? On the mouth, no, he has not had those spots before.

Yes, based on pictures and information he may have Herpes labialis. I would suggest him to apply acyclovir cream five times in a day to prevent lesion from further developing.
A course of oral antiviral like acyclovir or valacyclovir can be given especially if symptoms are severe. These agents are prescription based, so I would suggest you to see local doctor for further help.
Regarding your vaginal lesion, they are not that clear and I feel they are due to friction which you might have had during sexual act. For that I would suggest you to avoid sexual act for few days, wash the area with cool water and mild soap like dermadew, tap it dry. Wear loose fitting cotton undergarments. You should be fine with these measures.
