Brief Answer:
UPLOAD PICS

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for writing to us with your health concern.
Have you had an STD screen, particularly for herpes ?
Blisters following a rash is highly suspicious.
First and foremost, DO NOT touch, rub or handle the area excessively.
The blister fluid is infectious and might perpetrate more blisters in turn.
If possible, upload a photograph of the lesions so that I can try and make a more specific diagnosis.
If the discharge is not foul smelling, does not cause itching and is not highly altered in colour, do not worry about it.
Normal vaginal discharge is fine, and does not need treatment.
If it is excessive and bothersome, first you should see a doctor and have a swab of the discharge to confirm the type of infection.
Taking Monistat indiscriminately is not recommended.
With due respects to the other doctor that you mention, using Dettol on open blisters is never a good idea, for sure, it will burn.
Just wash with lukewarm water without touching the area and XXXXXXX dry with a towel.
Regarding the treatment for the blisters, I would like to have a look at the lesions first and then comment further.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Take care.

Answered by Dr. Aarti Abraham (4 hours later)
Brief Answer:
COULD BE DUE TO FRICTION

Detailed Answer:
The blisters can be due to a hot car seat or as an allergic reaction to the napkins which you normally never use.
I would be able to say for sure once I look at the pictures.
Of course, the pictures are private and strictly confidential, I am not aware of your identity and cannot be.
Please remain assured on that score.
YOu can upload the pics using the option provided at the top right hand corner of the page , that prompts you to upload reports / images.
Alternatively you can email them at - YYYY@YYYY , and they would reach me.
Take care.

Brief Answer:
SUSPICIOUS OF HERPES

Detailed Answer:
WHat is the orangish discolouration seen in some photos ?
It seems like you have applied some Betadine ?
The lesions, the pain, and the burning, alongwith the preceding rash, are strongly suspicious of herpes.
Please have a swab of the lesions done at the earliest.

SEE A DOCTOR AT THE EARLIEST PLEASE.

Please see a doctor tomorrow and have a swab done.
That is the sincerest and truest advice I can offer.
Do not ignore such profuse, painful, heavy lesions and do NOT self medicate.

Brief Answer:
MIGHT BE

Detailed Answer:
It is a possibility, but it makes more sense to get herpes ruled out.
While the lesions are active, is the best time to conclusively rule out herpes.
Take care.

Are herpes curable?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Aarti Abraham (1 minute later)
Brief Answer:
CARRIER STATE WOULD PERSIST.

Detailed Answer:
The sores and outbreaks are curable, but a person would remain a carrier all through.
You might break out or infect others anytime, in that sense, it is not curable.
Why worry about it till you know for sure it IS herpes ?

I have a feeling its not but if it is i cant stay with my husband i would have to leave him since i got them from him ive never slept with anyone else then him. There would be a lot.of changes in my life. I have to worry about everything and make plans so i can be ready at the moment of true .if i have an yeast infection how lons does it take to get rid of it?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Aarti Abraham (7 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
DONT WORRY, YET.

Detailed Answer:
If you are reasonably sure of your fidelity and his, it might not be herpes.
It is a second possibility, a yeast infection this bad, that resulted in so many sores.
If it IS a florid yeast infection, would take atleast a week for you to be rid of it completely.
I so totally empathize with your sentiments.
You can introspect and then decide once you know the results , that would be the moment of truth.
RIght now, you are in the realm of the various possible diagnoses, so that is why stop worrying.
Have a good night's rest and cross your bridge when you come to it, IF you come to it.
I sincerely hope it IS a yeast infection ( sounds like a gross thing to say, but I know you would understand the context ).
Take care.

Brief Answer:
THANKS

Detailed Answer:
Your words are rating enough .
Sometimes, at the fag end of a professional day, it helps to keep you going - the knowledge that you could reach out and touch somebody and make a small difference.
I am glad I could be of some help.
I know how the lesions can burn, and in what physical and mental agony you have been.
Once you close the discussion, you would have an option to leave a proper worded review and a rating too in terms of stars.
Anytime you want to reach me again, you have the link I have provided earlier in the thread.
Here it is again for a reference -
http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-aarti-abraham/64623
That way, your query would reach me directly and specifically instead of being routed to the general forum where any other doctor too could answer.
Take care, any which way, it is an infection, and not the end of life.
That perspective will help.
