What Causes Bloated Feeling In Lower Abdomen After Discontinuing Prilosec Cold Turkey?

Question: I've been on prilosec 20mg a day for about 5 months. About a week ago I quit taking it cold turkey and ever since I've been experiencing a mild bloating feeling in my lower abdomen as well as looser than "normal" stools. I am not using the bathroom more frequently than usual as I still only "go" once a day. I know these symptoms could be caused by multiple things but wondered if this could be related to the stoppage in Prilosec. Otherwise healthy 36 year old male

Brief Answer:
No it is not related with prilosec

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

Prilosec is not associated with any withdrawal symptoms and your current symptoms of bloating and loose motions are not related with discontinuation of prilosec.
