Brief Answer:
Upper GI endoscopy and hormone levels needed
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.
A upper gastrointestinal tract examination by upper GI endoscopy is also required to rule out any lesion in the esophagus, stomach and the first part of the duodenum. An ultrasound of the abdomen is also required since gall stones often lead to bloating and other GI symptoms.
Weight gain is associated with endocrine disorders. At first instance I would suggest you to get thyroid function tests and cortisol levels done.
Consult your primary healthcare provider for prescription of these investigations.
Post your test results for further work up.
Thanks and take care
