What Causes Bloating, Nausea, Back Pain And Diarrhea Post Withdrawal From Effexor?
Question: Yes, I am 49 years old, female had breast cancer 5years ago. I am no longer taking tomaxfin as of dec 2015 and I just quit taking Effexor 2.5 months ago and ever since I quit that drug, I have been sick. My symptoms are: bloating,( diarrhea (at times), nausea, mild back pain. It seems that anything I eat cause me to get sick. feeling tired a bit depressed

I must presume that you had early breast cancer which was treated with surgery (perhaps radiotherapy also ) and chemo followed by tamoxifen treatment for 5 years.
After that you were given effexor which is a good antidepressants.
I would like to make certain things clear.
1. There is evidence that taking tamoxifen for another 5 years is going to help patients. So discuss this with your doc.
2. I would like to continue with effexor as it will help you.
3. You can use antacid syrup for bloating and dyspepsia.
3. It is very uncommon for cancer to come back after 5 years but still in oncological science nothing is sure. Its not to make you afraid but still i will advise you an evaluation with ultrasonography of abdomen, blood counts, liver function tests.
Please revert back with these tests .
