What Causes Bloating When Diagnosed With Intestinal Tuberculosis?
I had been diagnosed with intestinal tuberculosis a year ago. My treatment continued for 9 months and for the past 3 months i have been off my medications. However, recently i find that my stomach is swollen/bloated a little accompanied by pain. Is this a cause of worry or is it nornal aftereffect of the disease?
After effect of the disease is less likely
Detailed Answer:
Hello
I appreciate your concern
Bloating of the stomach might be related to number of reasons like
smoking and consumption of carbonated drinks,
ill fitted denture
excess gas due to indigestion or acid peptic disease
After effect of disease is less likely since you have completed the course but it can't be ruled out without physical examination and further evaluation.
Here I would like further information for better assessment of the condition like
since how long you have this problem
is it associated with decrease in appetite or weight?
Meanwhile I would advise you to take anti acidity medicines like pantoprazole or omeprazole with antacids for 5 to 7 days
Avoid fried spicy and junk food or carbonated drinks.
Please feel free to ask for follow up questions or you have any more queries
