What Causes Blood In Semen?
Question: What are the possible conditions if the only symptom for a 22 male is blood during an ejaculation? The first part of his semen was normal but it became bloody.

You are worried about seeing blood in your semen after ejaculation. This is called hemospermia. We do not know what causes the condition. It maybe trauma to the prostate or prostate infection. If you ride a bicycle this coudl be caused by the seat. Normally this will resolve without treatment. In rare cases blood in the semen may be from prostate cancer. Since you are only 22 years old the chance of prostate cancer is virtually zero. If you do have pain with urination or have pressure at the base of the penis you could have a prostate infection. If you do I would recommend seeing your medical provider. You may need antibiotics to treat a prostate infection
