Brief Answer:
Suspect gastroenteritis/collection of pus-diverticulits

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear.Thanks for your query.

Based on your description, I would suspect infectious gastroenteritis.I were to do a stool analysis.Start on empirical antibiotic therapy-Tab.Norfloxacin+Tinidazole combination twice daily for week. Have oral re-hydration solution(ORS) depending on the stool output. Have plenty of oral fluids.

How have you been managed for diverticulosis in the past?
I would also rule out diverticulitis by do doing X-ray(upright and abdominal) and contrast CT(to rule out local collection of pus) which mimics gastroenteritis.
These investigations have to done as early as possible to identify the cause of your pain, altered stools and other symptoms.

Hope this answers your query. Please feel free to post me any further queries you may have.

Brief Answer:
Yes, ER is preferable

Hi dear.Thanks for your query.

I would suggest ER for examination and further evaluation before your symptoms worsen. BPAP might not be related to your infection.
