What Causes Blood In Urine After Taking Viagra?
After taking the medicine last night, I had approximately three ejaculations between last night and this morning.
Tonight, at about 930pm, I noticed blood in the urine and a bit of pain when urinating.
I promptly went to the local ER. They did a urine catch and upon examination, they found that the urine was fine and did not show blood under microscopic examination, tho the first dip test showed a trace.
I came home and about 15 minutes ago, after having drank a bottle of water, I had to urinate again. The at the very end of the urination a small amount of bloody urine was expelled and there was a little pain at that part. The first part of the urination was normal with no discomfort.
I have BPH and have had to take a proscar about 10yrs ago to shrink the prostate due to bleeding upon ejaculation. That bleeding will happen about once a year now and clear up with rest.
Do you think that the bleeding tonight could very possibly be from the use of the generic viagra and excited ejaculations?
Thank you for your time.
Bleeding can be from congested urethra and prostate
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .
Based on the facts that you have posted the bleeding from urethra is most likely to be due to two factors
1) Congested urethra due to multiple ejaculations over a short period of few hours
2) Rupture of a small superficial vein on the surface of Enlarged Prostate .
It is not related to Viagra .
Consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to reevaluate your enlarged prostate
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Serum PSA.
Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.
In the mean while take Tomsulosin and Dutasteride once daily along with antibiotic like Norfloxacin twice daily .
Ensure to drink more water .
Ensure to avoid sexual encounters till pain and bleeding subsides .
Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
