Blood in the urine is a red flag and should be investigated further. Examinations that are required would be a KUB Prostate ultrasound, serum PSA and urinalysis. With these examinations majority of the disease could be diagnosed and ruled out.

Differential diagnoses would be cancer or malignancy in the urinary tract, stones, prostate problems (benign and malignant) and urinary tract infection.
