Posted on Wed, 2 Nov 2016
Question: before leaving toilet, I saw blood stains on the pan and I noticed that it was coming from penis itself. I tried to control but it was spontaneous. Then I urinate and found urine was clear. after some time I again urinate but no blood was found. I am not feeling any pain or unusual. Please, let me about the problem and causes.

Brief Answer:
Bleeding could be from superficial veins on surface of Prostate .

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .
Slight bleeding from urethra without any alarming urinary symptoms could be mostly from the superficial veins on the surface of congested Prostate or from mild infection of bladder(Cystitis).

You need to consult qualified Urologist for clinical and digital rectal examination and get following basic tests done to confirm the diagnosis.
1) Urine routine and culture.
2) Ultrasound scanning of abdomen and pelvis
3) Serum PSA.
4) Endoscopic examination of bladder (Cystoscopy)

Further treatment will depend upon result of these tests and final diagnosis.Till then take antibiotic like Ciprofloxacin and Nitrofurantoin twice daily .

Ensure to drink more water .

Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions , I shall be happy to help you .
Thanks and Regards.
