What Causes Blood In Urine?
Question: I have blood in my urine every morning for over a month. Multiple urinalysis are negative for infections. Have a cystoscopy scheduled for XXXXXXX 11. In the morning my back (kidneys) are killing me which is when I see blood in my urine. After that no symptoms
I have had prostatitis symptoms for 15 years.
Prostate symptoms are there on and off. (perineum pain, hurts after I pee, feel like a tennis ball in my butt)
I am pretty sure I have bladder cancer as I continue to smoke lie a moron.
Am also a recovering alcoholic and had one relapse in the past three years where I did go to a massage parlour. Had intercourse with a condom. Can this be an STD?

I carefully read your question and understand your concern.
If the urine seems dark in the morning it might be normal as it is the first urine and it is darker and more concentrated; confirming the presence of red blood cells with urinalysis is necessary (urinalysis with microscopy)
I do not see in the question if the presence of blood is confirmed with urinalysis or not. I clearly see that you have been tested for urinary infection and no infection was found; did these urinalysis detect red blood cells also ?
If there is blood present in the urine in the simple urine test but not in microscopy than it is positive due to the presence of chemicals similar to hemoglobin called myoglobin that comes from the muscles and the dark urine might be due to the muscular problems and not really blood in urine.
If there is red blood cells seen in microscopy, more than 2 per field, in at least 2 urinalysis, then you do have hematuria (blood in urine).
In this case there are several causes of hematuria:
1. prostatitis- infection of prostate (sp. since you've mentioned such symptoms)
2. urinary tract stones
3. urinary tract tumors (prostate tumor also)
4. STD might be a cause also
5. Kidney damage due to chronic hypertension (glomerulonephritis)
To better understand the cause of blood in urine then the much needed tests might be:
1. PSA and rectal examination of the prostate with rectal ultrasound for the prostate
2. abdominal ultrasound and X-ray (to see for stones)
3. urine or urethral secretion examination for chlamydia and gonorrhea- to check for STD
4. Cystocsopy is the best test to visualize the urinary bladder and is very helpful (I can see that you're already scheduled for it, so best wishes)
5. you will also need a CBC and ESR to check for anemia (due to bleeding)
